The Heart House is a 13,793 SF, three-story mixed-use building featuring 11 supportive housing apartments and a daycare facility for 32 children. The ground floor includes meeting rooms, office spaces, and outdoor play areas. Designed to provide essential services, it supports both housing and childcare in a single location.

The Heart House project was funded through multiple sources, including the City of Bellingham Housing Levy, HOME funds, and the Washington State Department of Commerce Housing Trust Fund, each with its own requirements. RAM navigated these complexities while ensuring full compliance with the Evergreen Sustainable Development Standards, integrating all criteria seamlessly into the project’s design and construction.
